Freshman’s 01/W refurb

The following is a set of photos from Freshman’s 01/W refurbishment. In fact, his 01/W suffered from the “no sound” syndrome, the “sticky keys” syndrome, lots of sluggish panel switches and a dim display. Freshman fixed it all in one repair, which took several days, but in return his 01/W now operates like brand new.

Thanks for all the great info, I did the key replacement, reassembled the O1W and now it doesn’t have any software, the LCD lighths up but that’s it, I tried to re-initialize by holding compare & reset while powering on, but no change……
Help please, this keyboard worked fine prior to this attempt to repair four broken keys…….What is your opinion……Thanks!

      Hi Billy,

to your relief, it’s often small cause and big effect. Thoroughly check the proper position of all parts, screws and connectors, also check the fuses on the power supply unit.

      Regards
      Hajo
